Econfina Creek
Located at 5641 Porter Pond Road, Youngstown, FL 32466 which is about a half hour drive from Panama City, vacationers can find the Econfina Creek Canoe Livery.
The Econfina Creek Canoe trails offer day and overnight canoe and kayak trips through the Panhandle's crystal clear spring waters of Econfina Creek.
With canoes and kayaks available to rent, they also provide shuttle service. No dogs are allowed on the canoe trips however.
The surrounding nature and wildlife make the Econfina Creek experience one you'll want to take your time with and savor.
It's fun and educational for the entire family, as you canoe through the wilderness passing waterfalls, rock outcrops, log jams, riverbed springs and plentiful bird life.
Econfina Creek is a protected area with sensitive shorelines with designated boat landings at many nearby Sand Hill Lakes, including Rattlesnake Lake.
Reservations can made for group camping at Blue Spring, Rattlesnake Lake North and South and Sparkleberry Pond and swimming is also available at some group sites.
Swimming is available at Pitt Spring, Porter Lake (Tom Johns and White Oak boat landings), Devil’s Hole and Rattlesnake Lake North and South (Tuesday through Thursday).
Lifeguards are not present, so users swim at their own risk.
