Panama City Homes for sale – Market update

Here is some very good news from the Florida Associations of Realtors:

” ORLANDO, Fla. – May 13, 2008 – Florida Realtors reported positive signs in their local housing markets during first quarter 2008, noting a slower rate of expansion for inventory levels and an increase in pending home sales (based on contracts signed but not closed) in some areas.

In another positive note: Sales of existing condominiums improved from fourth quarter 2007 to first quarter 2008, according to the latest housing statistics from the Florida Association of Realtors (FAR). A total of 8,581 existing condos sold statewide in 1Q 2008, an 8.3 percent increase over 4Q 2007 when 7,923 units sold. ”

    Hi Jen,

According to an article in the Wall Street Journal on May 9th, April 2008 it hit bottom. They’ll some adjustments varying on areas, obviously Panama City FL real estate will be different from Summit and Morristown NJ. It was a very positive article on the real estate market and economy.

  2. Hi Susan,

Yes I read that as well. In addition, the TV news media has done a turn around as well.

IMO, all this news is good and time for the buyers and sellers to get back in the market place.
