I’ve recently received a very important correspondence from www.asbestos.com.
After reading the information contained on their website, I believe it important to provide information relating to asbestos insulation and the dangers of Mesothelioma to my visitors and customers.
Here are a few facts and quotes from their website:
Exposure to asbestos has proven to result in a wide range of health conditions, including mesothelioma, a deadly cancer that attacks the lining of the lungs, heart, or abdomen. This rare form of cancer is almost exclusively caused by asbestos exposure
Asbestos insulation has been used in millions of homes throughout the last quarter of the 20th century
Homes built after 1980 have the strong likelihood of containing asbestos
Many veterans who worked in shipyards and aboard warships and submarines were heavily exposed to asbestos through standard operations.
Asbestos is a naturally occurring entity mined in many states in the U.S.
If you’d like to learn more about asbestos exposure or mesothelioma, I encourage you to visit their site: Mesothelioma Cancer Center and join their effort to prevent asbestos exposure.
You will find a wealth of information provided free and is of paramount importance to home buyers and their families everywhere.
If you’d like additional information on location and removal of asbestos please contact me directly. There are many resources available to those in need of this type of service.

Thanks for the info and the link Jennifer. My father in-law was exposed to asbestos while working for a large energy company back in the 70s, 80s and 90s. Had te retire early as a result. Definitely some rough stuff.
Thanks again
Lou,
You are very welcome.
Unfortunately, this issue reaches many of us and often too late or without prior notification to protect ourselves.
My best wishes to you and your family.
Jennifer
Hi Jennifer, thanks for the information. Asbestos is a big concern to New Jersey home buyers as well. We usually make sure the inspector checks for it and we have it removed before they move into the home.
It really is nasty stuff! If you do home improvement or remodeling projects yourself be careful.Asbestos can be found in many materials other than just insulation. It can be in “pop corn ceilings” and even linoleum. If you suspect you may be dealing with asbestos there are labs you can mail a sample to be tested.
Thanks for the comments everyone,
I also believe this is very important information for all my/our customers.
We must continue to be diligent in keeping the public informed on issues such as these.
