Great day at the Easter Egg hunt… Panama City Real Estate

panama city real estate easter egg huntWell, I had a great day at the Keller Williams Annual Easter Egg hunt!

While we got off to shaky start, I think those of us that volunteered to help out, pulled together nicely to give the kids a fun day (at least once we got the grill started)!

The children seemed to enjoy the games, the hunt and of course the hot dogs and hamburgers.

Brooke did a great job with her karaoke version of “Black Velvet”, and even some of the children had a go at the mic :)

Update on the homeowners extention:

Homestead Exemption filing deadline has been extended to March 7th.

Just thought I’d remind everyone, Florida homeowners must apply for a homestead exemption and for the new property tax portability provision passed in the Constitutional amendment voted into law on January 29th - prior to March 7th, 2008!

There has been so much happening lately in the area.

Army Corps of engineers suspends airport’s wetlands permit

A business article from The Tallahassee Democrat reports on the latest attempts to stop the New Panama City International Airport.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has suspended a permit for the proposed new international airport in Bay County following a court’s decision to issue a stay in a related legal challenge.

Construction has begun in the areas not designated as wetlands and according to airport authorities, this latest development is a “technicality”.

If the Panama City-Lynn Haven metro area is to continue it’s growth, this airport is essential.

Authorities challenge the recent construction halt granted by a federal court in New York city to a group of local general aviation pilots calling themselves the “Friends of PFN“.

Authorities have filed a motion to lift an emergency stay granted to a group of local pilots who oppose the project.   Read the full story.

These continuing lawsuits filed by this group will only add to the develoment costs of the new Panama City International Airport.  Their continuing efforts to stop the progress of Panama City is not in the best interest of businesses and residents.
