Panama City - Voted one of the best ‘Green’ cities…

Panama City Real Estate Recently, Country Home magazine, in conjunction with Sperling’s BestPlaces, reveals that Panama City/Lynn Haven is one of the best ‘Green’ cities in the United States.

As gas prices rise, home buyers have become more interested in exploring a green lifestyle.

“The Best Green Places study, which is based on data discovered by Sperling’s BestPlaces, examines 24 data metrics in 5 major categories — including air and watershed quality, mass transit usage, power usage, farmers markets, organic producers, and number of green-certified building.”

Panama City Homes for sale - Market update

Here is some very good news from the Florida Associations of Realtors:

” ORLANDO, Fla. – May 13, 2008 – Florida Realtors reported positive signs in their local housing markets during first quarter 2008, noting a slower rate of expansion for inventory levels and an increase in pending home sales (based on contracts signed but not closed) in some areas.

In another positive note: Sales of existing condominiums improved from fourth quarter 2007 to first quarter 2008, according to the latest housing statistics from the Florida Association of Realtors (FAR). A total of 8,581 existing condos sold statewide in 1Q 2008, an 8.3 percent increase over 4Q 2007 when 7,923 units sold. ”

Panama City Beach Real Estate - Market Summary

I’m pleased to announce the Panama City Real Estate Market Summary for March, has been uploaded and posted for your convenience.

I’m seeing quite a bit of movement in our market, as buyer inquiries have increased and mortgages continue to hold steady below the 20 year averages.

The local condo investment market continues to climb as prices level out for water and gulf front units.

While single family home sales are lagging behind condo sales, there is quite a bit of activity in that market segment as well.

Panama City Real Estate - Market Summary for February

Panama City Beach Real Estate - Market Summary The figures are in and posted for the Panama City, Panama City Beach Residential Real Estate market.

The figures are looking good: there has been an increase from January of 24% in number of homes sold, as well as an increase in the average list price for active listings.
