Panama City Beach Real Estate A News Herald article today examines the economic outlook for Panama City. According to Rick Harper, director of UWF’s Haas Center for Business Research and Economic Development: “The single best thing Panama City could do to attract high-wage jobs is get the airport project done as soon as possible.”

In response the real estate market, Jan Cox - Bay County Association of Realtors’ president said “Overall, Panama City’s 2007 existing home and condominium sales numbers compared favorably to the rest of Florida”.

I’m pleased to announce the Panama City Real Estate Market Summary for December, has been uploaded and posted for your convenience.

I’m seeing alot of movement lately, as buyer inquiries have increased since the holidays and purchases in the area continue to rise.

Both Tyndall Air Force base and the Navy base are relocating families to our area and they continue to be a valuable assest to our community.

Condo sales are up and while single family home sales are lagging behind condo sales, there is quite a bit of activity in that market segment as well.

It’s time to sell in Panama City and the Beach…

I am often asked: “When is the best time to sell my property.”

This question although sometimes difficult for many, is actually quite easy to answer. The answer is “Now”.

Why? Because people are always looking to purchase a home.

Whether it be for:

Relocation
Upsizing
Downsizing
Life changes

Back in the 70’s and 80’s when interest rates were in the double digits, people who needed a new place to live, were buying homes. Interest rates will always be a secondary consideration for those that must buy a ‘new’ home to live in.

Brrrr… The weather’s been cold, but condos are hot!

We’ve been undergoing quite a cold spell for the past few days. The temperature even reached 32̊° the other evening… Brrrrrr…

Not exactly what I think of when I think of Florida, how about you?

On a more positive note, the Florida Association of REALTORS® (FAR) released their November 2007 home/condo resales data and guess what, the Panama City Real Estate Market continues to show a positive trend (Isn’t that what I’ve been telling everyone?).

The Florida Association of REALTORS® sales data for November 2007 for existing condos and homes, shows Panama City continuing to stay ahead of the statewide curve.
